My Favorite YouTube Channels for Sustainable Movement & Wellness

By

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to find good, reliable movement videos on YouTube, you’re not alone. There is SO much out there, and not all of it is helpful, safe, or easy to follow. That’s why I’m sharing something close to my heart today: a roundup of my favorite YouTube fitness channels—the ones I have personally followed and used over the years, and truly recommend. These creators align with everything Wellness Through Motion stands for: sustainable movement, functional fitness, realistic routines, and progress over perfection.

There’s truly something for everyone here. Everyone moves differently—some people love strength training, some love cardio, some need a slower flow. Some (like me!) love a good variety. I often mix and match videos from different channels to create my own daily workouts depending on how I’m feeling, what my schedule looks like, or where I’m at in my training cycle.

Here are the YouTube channels I use regularly, and why I love them:

💪 Julia Reppel

My go-to for mobility, functional movement, and feel-good flows. Her videos are calming, intentional, and easy to follow—perfect for warming up or for a full session that focuses on improving the way your body moves.

🏃‍♀️ Lucy Wyndham-Read

If you need a quick, effective workout that fits into a busy schedule, Lucy’s channel is for you. She’s got short, efficient routines that require minimal equipment and are great for all levels.

🎶 CDornerFitness

For fun, music-driven workouts and a huge variety of class-style sessions! Christine brings amazing energy and great cueing to every video—from cardio to dance to strength.

🧘‍♀️ Meredith Shirk & Svelte Training

Focused on functional movement, core strength, and joint-friendly workouts, this channel is ideal if you’re looking for supportive routines that can challenge you while still being kind to your body.

🤸‍♀️ Jessica Valant Pilates

Jessica offers a wide range of workouts, including physical therapy-informed Pilates and restorative movement. I love her calm teaching style and her focus on proper alignment and safe modifications.

💥 Kaleigh Strength

Great for strength-based training with mobility in mind. Kaleigh’s routines help you build power and confidence with form-focused guidance and smart progressions.

💃 Grow With Jo

If you love high-energy, positive vibes and follow-along workouts that feel like a party, Jo is your girl. Her cardio and dance sessions are fun, beginner-friendly, and easy to modify.

🧩 How I Use These Channels

I usually start each day with a mobility warm-up, either from Julia Reppel or one of my favorite go-to mobility sequences (which I’ll be sharing with you soon!). Then, I’ll mix in one or two videos—either a strength, cardio, or bodyweight routine. I always finish with stretching or gentle movement to cool down.

Some days, I’ll just do mobility and stretching—especially if my body’s asking for rest or my schedule is tight. I also love using their playlists and challenges, sometimes combining two different programs on alternating days to focus on a variety of movement styles.

The biggest takeaway? You don’t need to overcomplicate it—just listen to your body, move consistently, and find what feels good. These creators have helped me do just that, and I hope they help you too. 💛

Go explore each channel and see what speaks to you. Check them out, try something new, and just get moving—even if it’s just a little bit every day. 💚

Let’s keep moving, one video at a time. 🌿🎥
